Educated. now what?

There have been countless reports about colleges implementing 72% increase in tuition since 2001 in constant dollars.

Despite these alarming menace, many are determined to pursue a degree which is a ticket out of poverty or a status symbol in society.

We’ve also heard about the other side of the coin, educated graduates but nowhere to go. We expect these people to be working in multinational firms only to find out they are jobless or chasing a different career path from what we have expected.

However, The advent of
open courseware responds to our educational dilemma by providing free content that can be accessed by anyone anywhere in this world.

It has allowed some to cut tuition costs or forgo college.

with all this madness, does one have to  really pursue college or not?

First, ask yourself, does getting a degree in your desired major translates to earnings?

if not, then it's about time to think things over.

Hard core skills are necessary to survive in the job market.

If you are determined to learn solely on your own with the use of the internet, then this should be a breeze.

To conclude, it depends on the person's ability and resources. if you have a knack for entrepreneurship, why not implement that business plan instead of squandering 4 years in Business school?
